Where do you start?

When do I send out wedding invitations?

It’s been 16 years since I organised my own wedding! Well.. I say organised my own Wedding. We flew to Taormina in Sicily and hired our exceptional Wedding Planner Liz Gaan at Bouquets and Bows.

Liz took care of everything. We had our ceremony at the Town Hall and our reception at The Timeo Hotel. A beautiful hotel over looking the sea, high up in the hills. Liz was adamant we ate indoors in an air-conditioned room. Why would I want to do that! I wanted my guests to eat outside looking at the beautiful view! Didn’t think about the heat did I! Oh my goodness – It was so hot!! Note to self – Must listen to the wedding planner!

Anyway! Back to where to start…

Top of the list – Set the date! I know this has gone slightly pear shaped this year, however let’s think positive and it will all get back to normal in the new year! I’m thinking probably best to find the venue first? And see what dates they have available.

So let’s say, brilliant! you have chosen your venue and set the date.

Number 2 on the list.. Yes! We are right there, right at the beginning – Save the date cards!!

Let your guests know – The venue is booked, the date is set! Let the planning begin.

There are so many different options for Save the date cards:

Fridge Magnet Save the dates.
Little luggage tag save the dates
Vintage Lace lasercut- perfect for a rustic, boho wedding.
Charlotte lasercut.
Angels Signature Luxury Wedding Invitation

Don’t forget all the designs are completely bespoke and you can add or change colours, foiling, ribbon, diamanté, or pearls and of course the colour card.

Your Save the date cards are usually sent out 1 year – 18 months beforehand (18 months for destination weddings) Wedding invitations go out 6-3 months.

So once these are out to your wedding guests you can sit back and get planning every detail. No more – Have you set the date yet!?

Remember this is the first glimpse your guests will see, so really set the standard of the day and wow them!!
